Noel & Sarah's E-session

Sarah and I have been best friends since second grade and I think we laughed during their engagement session just as much as we did in school! The weather was just perfect and we had an absolute blast! I couldn't be happier for my best friend. She and Noel are an amazing couple and I feel so lucky to have them both as friends. I'm thrilled to be a part of their special day and am counting down the days until their California "I do's"!

Brenna Claire

My niece Brenna just turned one year old already! I can't believe how fast she's changing and how much she's learning. She's repeating what you say and ought to be walking without help any day. She now has six teeth to show off when she gives me her big Brenna grin! Grandma got to hang out with us during her session which made it very easy to catch some smiles. Brenna just loves her Grandma! I can't wait until September when Brenna will become a big sister!

Brayden

Brayden came to the studio today for his 1 year session. He was full of silly expressions and hilarious noises! His excited little voice had us cracking up the entire session!

Mary's Senior Session

Mary is my cousin by marriage and she is so much fun to be with. You know how you meet some people who are just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside? Mary is one of those people! Good work Jeff & Terri!!

Heidi & Aaron's E-Session

Heidi is the sister of my friend Regina. Heidi and Aaron are getting married in June, but we won't be able to shoot their wedding as we are already booked. I did have the pleasure of shooting their e-session though. I don't remember the last time I laughed so hard during a session! It was so much fun. They both have a great sense of humor and it really shows when they are together. Regina asked me to create a guest journal from their e-session images. I can almost hear the guests laughing and taking the time to look through the whole book before heading into the ceremony :)

We're always disappointed when we're contacted for a wedding date that we're already booked for, but I'm really bummed I won't get to be with Heidi and Aaron on their special day :( Good luck guys!

Audra & Ryan

I've known Audra for many years. We were neighbors growing up and went to the same school. It sounds very cliche, but it's amazing to think how quickly time has flown by. Last night I had the pleasure of hanging out with Audra and Ryan in Grand Haven for their engagement session. They have so much fun together and are so laid back. I can't wait for their wedding in August! Thanks guys!

Nick '08

We had a great time last night creating Nick's senior images. It was ideal weather for walking around and discovering some unique locations. Nick was up for anything and made our job extremely enjoyable! Thanks, Nick!

Dogs N Suds - Something Different!!

I would love to shoot a senior session here!! Any takers???

We went to the movies in Muskegon tonight and came across "Dogs N Suds" - an old fashioned drive-in hot dog stand. It's so authentic! The juke box actually play 45s and you get five songs for 25 cents. They have great dogs and burgers and the root beer comes in a big frosted mug. We dined indoors and the kids begged to sit at the counter so they could twirl on the stools. We can't wait to go back later this spring and actually order from our car window!

Eric '08

We're gearing up for the 2009 season with new brochures and an updated website. We were excited to hear from Eric who is a senior this year and will graduate in just a couple months. He brought along a couple trendy outfits from Jax Threads in Grand Haven. It was a bit chilly and windy yesterday, but we got some great images. Here's a few from his session...

Tom & Colleen - Celebrating Life Together

I shot Colleen's son, Stephen, a couple of years ago for his senior portraits. Colleen called recently and said she wanted to have some portraits taken of herself and her friend Tom. They have such a fantastic energy together that it made my job so easy! Don't they look like they have fun in everything they do???

Baby Wyatt Continued...

I promised more images of my new nephew after his first session, so here's a few. He's such a little sweetie! He refused to stay asleep for more than a few seconds at a time. Once he did dose off, the noon whistle blew and nap time was over! Being an aunt is the greatest!

Coopersville Community Expo

Karen and I had a booth in the Coopersville Community Expo for Studio K2 Photography. This year the focus of the expo highlighted those vendors that provide services to weddings and graduating high school seniors.

It was a nice chance to catch up with some of the former brides and seniors we've shot.

We were very proud of one of our seniors, Chelsea Weaver, Miss Coopersville, who made a generous donation to Locks of Love during the expo. Later in the afternoon she also provided some vocal entertainment.

A Cool Evening at the Beach

I found myself with a few minutes to spare before a meeting in Grand Haven. Armed with my "mommy cam" (little point and shoot digital camera) I drove by the beach. I certainly wasn't dressed for the elements, but I dashed outside the warmth of my truck to capture these images.

Models in the Studio

We recently purchased new lighting equipment and we've been anxious to try it out. We invited Heather and Kathryn into the studio to pose for us. They were so much fun. They held up well as we experimented!

Thanks so much for sharing your time with us girls - we owe you big!!
