Anna - '09

Anna was a lot of fun last week during her senior session. We captured a variety of different looks! We started off in the studio with some casual and some more tradition looks. Then we took a short walk to the park for a few shots with her dog Sam. Isn't he just the cutest golden retriever ever? We ended up downtown in the evening and found some great textures and graffiti.

Adrian & Lucy's E-Session

I had so much fun shooting Adrian and Lucy's e-session in downtown GR last night. They are a really sweet couple and they are so in love. It's just a great thing to be around!

We wandered around Monroe Center and then Adrian asked if we could shoot near the railroad tracks to which I replied. "of course" and we were on our way. Adrian also introduced me to another great location with a brick wall and iron staircase.

Let's hope we have weather like this in November so we can shoot outside again!

Elizabeth - '09

Elizabeth wanted only downtown images for her senior session. We found some beautiful and grungy locations to show off her fun, energetic, and comical personality! And look at those gorgeous blue eyes! They are so kind and vibrant.

We enjoyed talking with her about her dreams and plans after high school of becoming a photographer herself! Enjoy your sneak peak!

Wyatt & Dylan

My nephews, Wyatt and Dylan, were in the studio for their annual portrait session. They are so funny! It's evolved to Karen shooting so I can get their attention and try to get them to relax and be themselves. Every year is different and we never know who is going to do what. This year Wyatt had decided that he shouldn't smile and show his teeth. We worked pretty hard to get him laughing and we got some really fun images. Dylan is just so full of personality that he looks different in every image. They are such great kids!

Phillip '09

These are a few of my favorites from Phillip's studio session. I'm so excited to shoot his outdoor session!! We thought really hard about an outdoor location that would be unique to Phillip (and different from his two older brothers) and we finally came up with a great location. Now we just have to get the details worked out (i.e. get permission). I think it's really going to rock! Stay tuned!

Chelsea '09

One thing Chelsea and I have in common is our slightly compulsive buying habits when it comes to cute shoes!! I just love these bright pink heels. Chelsea brought along some great outfits for her indoor session on Monday. She's such a cheery young lady with a great smile, but she can pull off the sassy, serious look too:)

She was well prepared for her outdoor session as well! She had no problem kickin' off those heels and walking through the water as she had picked out this unique location for her session.

I can't wait to show you the rest! Thanks!

Kayla '09

We did Kayla's brother's senior portraits last year and had a great time with Tyler. I knew Kayla would be just as kind and laid back as her brother!

She's definitely a true country girl (just like me!) and brought along her cowboy boots and hat. My favorite image is the last image against the brick wall using natural light from our big windows in the studio. Thanks Kayla!

Josiah's Train Session

Josiah is 4 years old and, like many kids his age, is all about Thomas the Train. So it was only fitting that we strolled down the tracks for his session. We learned all about the different equipment, cars, and engines from Josiah. We were so impressed by his knowledge of trains... I think we have a future engineer here!

Ashleigh '09

Ashleigh and her mom made my day on Monday! They are both so sweet and enjoyable. I know I say this a lot, but it is so cool to get to know our seniors and find out about the wonderful things they are involved in and learn about their goals and dreams.

Ashleigh's gorgeous eyes just sparkled in the studio... she's a natural in front of the camera and aspires to be a photographer herself. I told her it's not fair to be good on both sides of the camera:) We headed to Grand Haven after her studio session.

Enjoy your sneak peak!

The Chair Cover Collection

The Chair Cover Collection out of Spring Lake adds elegance, style, and class to any event. Chair covers, sashes, and table linens add the perfect touches to any wedding venue and tie in the thoughtfully selected color and theme. Steve and Kallie's wedding we photographed in June had a very elegant and classy feel with crisp white linens. A splash of color in the chair sashes was added to almost identically match the bridesmaids dresses.

The Chair Cover Collection can transform a room and provide a beautiful backdrop for your wedding. I won't forget the reactions of the bridesmaids as they looked into the finished room for a sneak peak before the reception. They were taken away by what they saw.

Jessica '08

Jessica came to the studio well equipped for a complete senior session. I hope we were successful in capturing the many facets of her great personality. She certainly has a great sense of adventure - when I asked if we could shoot her cute little black dress, heels and white coat at the rail road tracks she didn't even hesitate!

Molly '09

It's always an adventure during a downtown session and yesterday was no exception:) Molly was excited to try out some unique spots and I appreciated her sense of adventure as we climbed up the questionably sturdy staircase. These images are so worth it though!

Molly wants to be a photojournalist after high school. It was refreshing to hang out with such an awesome senior. I know her personality and skills will take her far!

Krystal '09

I had a great time working with Krystal! She was so sweet and up for anything. Her parents and her boyfriend came along to make her smile and to make me laugh:) They are such a cool family to be around and made Krystal's session a ton of fun.

Beth '09

Our senior portrait season is off to such a great start. We have been working great seniors so far, and Beth is no exception. She brought great clothing choices and all the right accessories. Everything she wore and everything we did with lighting and posing just made her gorgeous eyes even more captivating! Sometimes it was like she was reading my mind when it came to posing. I love it when my job is so easy and so much fun!
