Liz and Justin were married on a gorgeous day in Hudsonville two weeks ago. They have been very organized and very laid back since we've gotten to know them. Everything went perfectly allowing them to focus on their family and friends that clearly love them immensely! It was so much fun to share in the joy of their day!

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. The weather was ideal; comfortable temperature, a blue sky, and of course, the California sun shining bright. As a wedding day should be, it was full of emotions. We laughed, cried, and laughed some more... then we danced until our calf muscles were sore.

Kim captured the beautiful moments and details throughout the rehearsal, ceremony, and reception. I attended as a bridesmaid, but couldn't resist taking some photos of my best friend and her new husband:)

April 26 turned out to be one of the windiest spring days I can remember. We weren't able to take any outdoor images, but that didn't affect the mood of the day at all.

It was a very emotional day. A few tears and lots and lots of laughter. The love that Vince and Janet share is so obvious, but even more, the love they have for their family and friends is amazing!

We are so glad we were able to be a part of it.

I had so much fun with Dennis and Molly. They are both so laid back and easy to be with. Molly's Mom asked if I could sneak in a family portrait while we were at it. I usually prefer to do this in two different sessions, but it worked out pretty good. We were able to use the apple farm that has been in Molly's family for generations. We also went to Dennis' family home and had some fun by the pond. I'm so glad we didn't get rained on!

I had to laugh when I drove by the Coopersville High School parking lot this morning. The horizon line looked a little different. I'm not sure if this is a new senior tradition, or just a few guys showing their true colors on their last official day of school.

Sarah and I have been best friends since second grade and I think we laughed during their engagement session just as much as we did in school! The weather was just perfect and we had an absolute blast! I couldn't be happier for my best friend. She and Noel are an amazing couple and I feel so lucky to have them both as friends. I'm thrilled to be a part of their special day and am counting down the days until their California "I do's"!

My niece Brenna just turned one year old already! I can't believe how fast she's changing and how much she's learning. She's repeating what you say and ought to be walking without help any day. She now has six teeth to show off when she gives me her big Brenna grin! Grandma got to hang out with us during her session which made it very easy to catch some smiles. Brenna just loves her Grandma! I can't wait until September when Brenna will become a big sister!

Brayden came to the studio today for his 1 year session. He was full of silly expressions and hilarious noises! His excited little voice had us cracking up the entire session!

Mary is my cousin by marriage and she is so much fun to be with. You know how you meet some people who are just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside? Mary is one of those people! Good work Jeff & Terri!!

Heidi is the sister of my friend Regina. Heidi and Aaron are getting married in June, but we won't be able to shoot their wedding as we are already booked. I did have the pleasure of shooting their e-session though. I don't remember the last time I laughed so hard during a session! It was so much fun. They both have a great sense of humor and it really shows when they are together. Regina asked me to create a guest journal from their e-session images. I can almost hear the guests laughing and taking the time to look through the whole book before heading into the ceremony :)

We're always disappointed when we're contacted for a wedding date that we're already booked for, but I'm really bummed I won't get to be with Heidi and Aaron on their special day :( Good luck guys!

I've known Audra for many years. We were neighbors growing up and went to the same school. It sounds very cliche, but it's amazing to think how quickly time has flown by. Last night I had the pleasure of hanging out with Audra and Ryan in Grand Haven for their engagement session. They have so much fun together and are so laid back. I can't wait for their wedding in August! Thanks guys!

We had a great time last night creating Nick's senior images. It was ideal weather for walking around and discovering some unique locations. Nick was up for anything and made our job extremely enjoyable! Thanks, Nick!

We went to the movies in Muskegon tonight and came across "Dogs N Suds" - an old fashioned drive-in hot dog stand. It's so authentic! The juke box actually play 45s and you get five songs for 25 cents. They have great dogs and burgers and the root beer comes in a big frosted mug. We dined indoors and the kids begged to sit at the counter so they could twirl on the stools. We can't wait to go back later this spring and actually order from our car window!
